| Zheng Tianting made great achievements on the economic history research of the Ming and Qing Dynasties which are mainly reflected in the following: summarizing accurately the characteristics of the system of land taxes and corvee during the period of Ming Qing Dynasty; concluding objectively the characteristics of the capitalism germinates in Ming Qing dynasty; carrying out systematic investigation on the characteristics and evolution trend of overseas trade and prohibition policy in Ming Qing Dynasty. The characteristics of Zheng Tianting’s research on economic history of Ming Qing Dynasty could be summarized in three aspects: taking the careful study on original literature data as base, making conclusions based on well understanding the historical materials; combining accurate and meticulous textual criticism and macroscopic understanding. |
