《双城记》中的卡顿与《天龙八部》中的游坦之虽是出自中西方不同作家的笔下,但都是为爱而亡的痴情悲剧人物,而两人在人物个性、艺术形象以及激发的读者情感方面却又有着诸多不同。在英伽登现象学美学理论的视角下,卡顿的艺术形象虽简单易懂却让人体验到人性的美好、爱情的伟大,其审美价值高于艺术价值;而游坦之人物塑造复杂离奇、堪称经典却使人感到人生的痛苦迷惘,其艺术价值应在审美价值之上。 |

Although Carton in “A Tale of Two Cities” and YouTanzhi in “Demi gods and Semi devils” are both tragic figures died for love, the two are quite different in personalities, artistic images and emotion from readers. In the light of Ingarden’s phenomenological aesthetics, human nature and great love can be experienced through Carton though he is distinct and easy to understand, so its aesthetic value is above its artistic value; the characterization of YouTanzhi is complex and classic, but only the pain of life can be felt here, so its artistic value should be above its aesthetic value. |
