Wang Wen sheng’s Masterpiece “The History of Chinese Aesthetics” studies our traditional aesthetics, and concludes the law and experience of the development of Chinese lLiterature and art, and illustrates the beauty and value of Chinese literature and art. Its outstanding feature is the “comparative” perspective on emotionand interest development, alternately using a variety of comparison methods, such as the comparison between China and the West, comparison between works and styles and so on, showing a very broad academic vision.The author digs local Chinese resources deeply, promotes the nation’s literary tradition, reflecting the author’s sense of missionand responsibility as an overseas scholar in carrying forwardon Chinese traditional culture and national spirit. |
