| African literary critics usually adopt social-cultural approach when they are engaged in African literary criticism. They pay more attention to such factors as social, cultural and political ones. They view literary criticism as a part of social criticism. While not rigidly adhering to certain special literary criticism approach, they adopt the suitable approaches for the pragmatic sake. They don't pay close attention to literary form itself, and even regard the literary form itself as a part of social factor of literature. |
