| 自1976年韩礼德（Halliday）与哈桑（Hasan）出版《英语中的衔接》（Cohesion in English）一书以来，连贯在英语中一直是语言学学习与研究的焦点。主题结构分析是对篇章连贯性进行分析的理论。这种分析方法是由于篇章内关键词与短语的不断重复而反映出来的内部主题结构才衍生出来的。从新概念Ⅱ中随机选出三篇不同的文章作为研究的对象,对主题结构分析判断篇章是否连贯的效度进行了验证，结果表明：主题结构分析理论提供了一个很有力的检验语篇发展模式的方法。 |

| Coherence has been a concerning point in linguistic study and research since Halliday & Hasan published Cohesion in English in 1976. The topical structure analysis （TSA）, designed by Lautamatti （1987）, is an analysis of coherence derived by examining the internal topical structure of each paragraph as reflected by the repetition of key words and phrases. In this study, the author will choose three different passages from New Concept English II to test the validity of the TSA. The result shows that TSA offers a productive approach to test the discourse development patterns. |
