| Presently, the global financial storm has aroused grave concerns among people from all walks of life in China. The state government is making policies to deal with the storm, scholars trying to analyze the influence brought about by the storm and companies experiencing the strike from the storm, even ordinary staff members of companies have felt the inconvenience the storm has caused to their individual life. Dr. Zhang Chong fang is a senior Xinhua correspondent with many years of news reporting experience, who has a professional sensitivity to this financial storm and a wide access to related information, and has written some news about this issue. On the afternoon of Nov. 20, 2008, the author had an interview with Dr. Zhang to give interested readers some information about how a news journalist looks at the financial storm, the challenges and opportunities China is faced with in this storm, what influence the storm may have on universities and how to be a good journalist, etc. |
