| Based on the unfavorable geological conditions of TBM excavation, this paper discusses the impact of the surrounding rock, fault, extrusion, stability of excavation, tunnel wall and instability of excavating face on the selection of equipment type and size, presenting the special difficulties faced with TBM excavation and giving proposals and measures for different circumstances. |
